Steuart’s Bach&Beer concert was selected by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as one of the Top 10 Classical Events of the Year: “More than an excuse to drink, however, more even than a brush with history, "Bach and Beer" was an intimate encounter with music at the highest level.” - Cleveland Plain Dealer

This evening will bring together two of the finer things in life: Bach and Beer. While sipping on some locally crafted brews audience members will discover the connections between the art of brewing and the art of playing the music of Bach. Just as many brewers follow a recipe that was used hundreds of years ago, Steuart’s approach to playing Bach also looks back on old “recipes” and methods of playing. The program of Bach’s Cello Suites will be interlaced with short explanations of Steuart’s historical, interpretive approach of playing as well as a look at the history of brewing practices. Each of the three suites will be paired with one beer.

Please note: the Farmata barn is still unfinished. The space is closed up and climate-controlled, but walls need to be painted, the bathroom ceiling needs drywall, etc.. Rather than waiting until everything is perfect, we look forward to showing our guests some of the process along the way.
